Surfer Blood release ‘Astro Coast’ on Spunk January 29. The Florida band have taken the surf skate sounds of Weezer, the hook-laden pop of The Shins, and the reverb heavy riffs of 90s indie and melded them into something young, fresh and exciting.
Rolling Stone already love them and Spin think they’re damn hot too, Pitchfork have named them Best New Music and listed their single Swim as one of the best songs of 2009, and Triple J’s Zan Rowe has named them her new favourite band describing ‘Astro Coast’ as “one of the most listenable albums of 2010 thus far”
