Joanna Newsom’s music director Ryan Francesconi was the main man on her brilliant Have One On Me, arranging & playing all over the sprawling triple album. This Tues 8, Ryan will perform an intimate solo performance at Surry Hills’ artspace Curious Works, trading his guitar for the Bulgarian Tambura to put a Balkan twist on the music of his recent Parables. Joined by violinist Mirabai Peart in part, the duo will play their only Sydney headliner before joining Newsom on stage Weds 9 at Sydney’s City Recital Hall (w/ limited tix to this show still available).
