A great little excerpt from My Morning Jacket’s recent VH1Storytellers. The more you hear the guys talk about Circuital you can tell they had a great experience making the record, & you hear it in the album’s rhythm too. Earthy & electric, it grows from rounded rock songs (‘Victory Dance’, ‘Circuital’) into wild horn driven choruses (‘Holdin’ On To Black Metal’) & stripped back, slowed down guitar jams (‘Slow, Slow Tune, ‘Movin Away’). “On (title track ‘Circuital’) I sing about ending up in the same place where you started out, & that makes a lot of sense for this album,” explains Jim James. It is released in Aus/NZ on Fri May 27.
