Introducing Van Pierszalowski’s WATERS

Van Pierszalowski took a big old trip around the world last spring when his band, Port O’Brien finally disbanded. Between Norway, Alaska, California and Brooklyn he shed his old style of writing and began to create music that was louder, more raw and contrasted than before. He formed a new band, WATERS who recorded an album, Out In The Light. It’s such an immediate, cinema-scale sound, with huge hooks and fuzzy magnified guitars. Says Van, “The record is about waking up. It is about getting out of a situation that seems endless, and realizing you’re not too old to make dramatic and sudden changes in your life.” It’s released in Aus/NZ on Friday September 16.
