Biography

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are vocalist Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, this three-piece rock outfit has been making waves in the New York scene, and the word is spreading across the nation.

They bring forth their first batch of new material since their smash-hit self-titled debut EP (TG 238). This new single is comprised of EXCLUSIVE tracks from the band’s current studio sessions (where they are busy cranking out songs for their forthcoming full-length album), as well as a previously unreleased demo from their formative days! With their raw energy, enthusiasm, and pure charisma Yeah Yeah Yeahs have pulled off the rare feat of winning over both fans and critics everywhere, turning up in major magazines like Rolling Stone, Spin, The New Yorker, etc, and selling out shows wherever and whenever they play.

Singer Karen O provides an unparalleled presence on stage; a prancing, smiling, giggling rock goddess with a voice that’s equal parts Siouxsie Sioux and Ronnie VanZant. Guitarist Nick Zinner serves up slick and swampy no-wave blues riffs that jump out of the loudspeakers and kick you in the gut, and smooth drummer Brian Chase pounds out a staccato pulse that ensures maximum ass-shaking effect.

By taking bits and pieces of the rock and roll music they grew up with and twisting them into their own distinct shape, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have become the future of rock and roll, like a cold splash of water in the face of a sleeping giant.
