No Static In the Stars (Last Hope II) released Sept 29. Tour dates too!


No Static in the Stars is a collection of film and music focused around the ocean and its surrounds. Surfing, painting, songwriting and filmmaking are all forms of expression celebrated in these 14 short films, made to a soundtrack chosen by Aaron/Spunk. It will be released on DVD and digitally on September 29 via Spunk Records. Pre-order here.
No Static in the Stars features the work of filmmakers including Andrew KidmanPatrick Trefz, Ava Warbrick, Ryan Thomas and more, accompanied by music from the likes of Smog, Ty Segall, Fazerdaze, Cass Mccombs, Tiny Ruins and The Middle East, among others. One of the shorts, “I Thought That I Had Died, shot by photographer Jon Frank and featuring music from Angel Olsen, is premiering at Monster Children below.
To preclude the film’s release on Sept 29, two of the musical artists that feature in the film, Wash and Andrew Kidman & the Windy Hills, are heading out on the road to perform their sets across NSW, as well as an accompanying live performance of parts of the film. Towns that will be visited include AvalonBulliBondi and Manly.
